After taking a right, there is a seating area where you find multiple lengthy marble tables that can fit a large number of students.

There are many food and drink choices available for students and teachers to enjoy. Some of the choices given are salads, countless choices of sandwiches, and many other snacks. Not only all that but drinks as well, for example, packed juices, fresh juices, coffee, and tea.

To help them with this never-ending process, the school organizes multiple university visits from around the globe. One such visit occurred recently due to a collaboration with the British Council, bringing forth guests from all over the UK.

In anticipation, the student body rushed to the auditorium to be oriented with the ten universities that flew in. Other visits that arose were of a university from Switzerland as well as several from Lebanon. • TIS SCOOP, Wake Up Wednesday

TIS SCOOP Wake Up Wednesday - Thamer International Schools

    By Naama Banaja (12-D),

Wake Up Wednesday is a weekly radio segment that replaces the mundane power-points with something that’s more motivating and energizing.

It was conceptualized and begun by the SLC heads with a nudge from their English teacher. The topics vary every week and also depends on which department is taking the helm. For example, the first broadcast was taken over by the C&I whose topic of choice was to remind the seniors of their university deadlines and for the younger batches to be prepared earlier. I personally helped with the technical aspects on both broadcast by playing or arranging any media file needed. This project has received mixed reviews, but mostly positive especially from the staff, students, and the head of Senior School herself.
