Thamer International Schools is proud to host the prestigious Harvard Model United Nations (HMUN) — a globally recognized academic event organized by Harvard University.

The event will take place from January 19 to 21, 2026, with the conference scheduled as follows: Day 1: 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M., and Day 2 & 3: 9:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. This event offers students an exceptional opportunity to develop leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills while engaging in real-world debates on global issues.

We encourage students to join this transformative experience that promotes diplomacy, collaboration, and global awareness. Please make sure to fill out the delegate application form. After completing the form, transfer the required amount, and your registration will be confirmed within 3 business days.

D. Submission Information:

1. General Participation

  • Participation is open to students from grade 6 to 12, as specified by the organizing committee.
  • All delegates must complete the official registration form before the stated deadline.
  • Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment and completion of the application form.
  • The organizing committee reserves the right to accept or reject any application without explanation.
  • All participants agree to abide by these terms and the rules of procedure provided prior to the event.

2. Payment and Fees

  • The participation fee covers conference registration, materials, and refreshments.
  • Payment must be made no later than December 15, 2025.
  • All fees are non-refundable, except in cases where the event is canceled by the host school.

3. Committee and Country Allocations

  • Committee and country assignments are determined solely by the organizing committee based on availability, experience, and application quality.
  • Requests for changes after allocations are published will not be accepted.
  • The Secretariat reserves the right to reassign countries or committees if needed to maintain balance and ensure smooth proceedings.
  • Failure to attend or participate responsibly may result in withdrawal or reassignment without refund.

4. Code of Conduct

  • Participants must demonstrate respect, diplomacy, and professionalism at all times.
  • Dress Code: Participants must dress modestly and appropriately, in accordance with Saudi cultural norms.
  • Disrespect, harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate language or gestures will not be tolerated.
  • Delegates must follow all instructions given by chairs, MUN personnel, and organizers.
  • Any damage to school property will be charged to the responsible participant.
  • Prohibited items (including vapes, tobacco, energy drinks, or restricted devices) are strictly forbidden.
  • Mobile phones must remain on silent mode during sessions.

5. Attendance and Punctuality

  • Delegates must attend all sessions, ceremonies, and workshops punctually.
  • Persistent lateness or absence may result in loss of speaking rights, disqualification from awards, certificates, or dismissal from the event.

6. Security and Identification

  • Proof of identity must be provided at the beginning of each conference day according to the National ID, Iqama, or Passport Number stated in the application form.
  • Participants must wear their official MUN badges visibly at all times.

7. Photography and Media

  • The school reserves the right to photograph and record sessions for educational and promotional purposes.
  • By registering, participants consent to the use of their images in official MUN and school media.

8. Cultural and Religious Respect

  • Participants must show full respect for Saudi political view, customs, culture, and Islamic values.
  • Dress modestly and appropriately at all times within the school campus.
