Parent-Teacher Conference "Sharing MAP Results" - Fall (2017-2018)
Dear Parents (KG2, G1, G3, G5, & G7),
Thamer International Schools biannually conducts MAP exams during Fall and Spring. These exams, which measure the academic growth of the students, are of paramount importance.
They give parents as well as educators an insight into the requirements with respect to the core subjects: Math, Science and English. T. I. S. cordially invites you to attend a Parent-Teacher Conference “Sharing MAP Results” on Saturday, February 03, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Based on your child’s score, an individualized action plan has been prepared.
After careful retrospection, as parents and teachers, you will discuss the expected growth of your child’s performance during the upcoming Spring session of the MAP exams.
PSAT & SAT Registration (2018-2019)
Thamer International Schoolsconsistently strive to provide the best of education to their students. We cater to both the British and the American programs. Therefore, it is of paramount importance to familiarize both the students and the parents with the programs and to plan ahead of time.
We, as partners in education, have the sole goal of guiding our children towards academic success. Hence be notified of the following important time of registration for the standardized exams.
PSAT Tests (2017-2018)
Dear Grade 9 and 10 Parents,
In order to ensure the interest of our students and the continuous communication between the school and respected parents, T. I. S. is honoured to inform you that our students will appear for the PSAT test, which will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018. The PSAT is a slightly shorter version of the SAT, which is a college entrance exam students will have to take early in senior year.
We administer the PSAT to juniors for three reasons:
First, it’s a valuable opportunity for a “practice run”—a chance to take a formal, timed test that mimics a college entrance exam without the prospect of score reports to colleges. It also enables us to identify and take steps to help students who struggle with standardized testing before they begin taking the SAT early in senior year.
