     Top in the World - Thamer International Schools

    Two students of Thamer International School (TIS) have achieved the highest score worldwide, “Top in the World”, in the Cambridge international examinations: Rowaa Ibrahim Ibrahim in the ICT A -level and Abdelrahman Al-Acer in Mathematics AS-level.

    H.R.H.Prince Faisal Bin Thamer Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, the chairman of TIS, is very proud and honoured that the Achievements of the Kingdom’s Educational system have made it possible for students to compete worldwide and to score  the highest ranks internationally.

    Prince Faisal has also extended his gratitude and appreciation to those who have contributed to the great success of TIS-Jeddah including administrators, teachers and parents. This is not the first time that Thamer International School has achieved such high scores. Last academic year, five TIS students achieved distinguished ranks in the Kingdom and worldwide. – Saudi Gazette

    JEDDAH: Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) has announced that 15 students from Saudi Arabia are among the 131 learners worldwide to win the Outstanding Cambridge Learner (OCL) Awards for the 2015 examination June series.

    “I am very proud to congratulate learners across Saudi Arabia on their outstanding results with the Cambridge examinations,” said Waseem Al-Hanbali, regional director of Middle East and North Africa. “It is encouraging to acknowledge the high standards of education offered by schools across the country, reflected through these exceptional results.”

    British Consulate Honors 67 Students for Achievement - Thamer International Schools

    JEDDAH:The British Consulate General and the British Council Jeddah honored 67 students for excelling in the Cambridge IGSCE and A level exams, during a ceremony at the consulate here recently. The students, from from 15 schools in the western provinces of the Kingdom, were presented certificates and plaques.

    The categories were Best Across Awards, Top In the Country, Top in Jeddah, Top in the World and High Achievers. Simon Lebus, chief executive of Cambridge Assessment, welcomed the guests, students, parents and teachers. Speaking on the occasion, Philip Rylah, the British Council’s director of examinations for the Middle East and North Africa, appreciated the efforts of the consulate in making the event a success.

    Outstanding Lebanese Students Honored - Thamer International Schools

    JEDDAH — The Consulate General of Lebanon recently held a ceremony to honor outstanding Lebanese high school students studying in Jeddah. The event was held Friday on the consulate premises in the Basateen district. Consul General Ziad Atallah awarded 116 students from nine schools in Jeddah with certificates of honor and recognition shields. Ali Al-Ayashi, the dean of Diplomatic Corps and the consul general of Yemen attended the ceremony, along with Oman’s Consul General Jumaa Al-Rashidi, Palestine Consul General Mahmoud Al-Asadi, Turkish Consul General Fikret Ozer, other diplomats and a large crowd of Lebanese expatriates as well as the families of the outstanding students.

    UK Consulate Honors Outstanding Achievers in Cambridge Exams - Thamer International Schools

    JEDDAH — British Consul General in Jeddah Mohammed Shokat recently hosted a function on the consulate premises to acknowledge the achievements of 67 students across 15 British curriculum schools in the western region of Saudi Arabia. Parents, school representatives and students celebrated the success of the outstanding learners in the 2015 Cambridge International Examinations series. The function followed similar events in Riyadh and Al-Khobar. Addressing the guests Shokat said, “Education is the key and with the right education all the doors of opportunity open for every one. We are very proud of having a strong education system in the UK. The Cambridge International Examinations is one of the best expose for the United Kingdom.”
