A. Admission Process

At Thamer International Schools, we strive to provide a supportive and enriching learning environment tailored to each student’s needs. Our admissions process ensures the best possible academic and social fit for every applicant.

Complete Application:
All applicants must submit a fully completed application, providing accurate information on academic history, social and behavioral development, and any medical or psychological considerations. Relevant supporting documents, such as assessment reports, should accompany the application.

Selective Admission:
Admission to T.I.S. is competitive and selective. Students are considered only after submitting all required documents and successfully completing the entrance assessment and interview. Final admission and grade placement decisions are made in the best interest of the student. The school reserves the right to decline testing or placement if necessary.

Evaluation and Placement:
After the entrance assessment, the Admission Committee reviews academic records, including transcripts and report cards, to determine eligibility and appropriate grade placement. Students must meet grade-level standards to be considered for enrollment.

Special Educational Needs:
Parents are asked to inform the registrar of any special educational needs at the time of application. If further support is required, the school may request independent professional assessments before final admission or placement decisions.

Admission Priority:
Priority is given to returning students and their siblings. Applications received after the general registration period are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Once classes are full, applicants may be placed on a waiting list; placement on the list does not guarantee admission.

B. Student Records from Other Schools

To ensure a smooth and accurate placement, applicants must submit official records from their previous schools prior to acceptance. This includes report cards, transcripts, and standardized test results. Thamer International Schools may also contact previous schools as part of the admission review process to better understand the student’s academic and social development.

C. Ideal Time to Apply

We recommend that families begin the admission process in February each year to allow ample time for assessment and placement. Entrance assessments are conducted regularly throughout the admission period to accommodate applicants.

D. Required Documents

All application forms must be fully completed and submitted along with the necessary supporting documents. Please note that no admission steps will be initiated until all documentation has been received, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for all applicants.
