Fees & Discipline Policy

A. Transportation Fees:

School transportation is provided to students for a specified fee upon application. Thamer International Schools makes every effort to ensure student safety during transportation, with clear procedures in place to maintain the highest safety standards. Use of the school bus service is considered a privilege, and the school reserves the right to suspend or revoke this service at any time if a student fails to comply with the established rules of conduct.

B. Discipline Policy:

To maintain safety and discipline on school buses, parents are encouraged to review and discuss bus rules with their children before the start of the school year. Students are expected to behave responsibly and follow all safety rules from the moment they leave home until they return.

Students are expected to:

  • Always follow the bus driver’s instructions, as they are given for student safety.
  • Remain seated, face forward, and keep seat belts fastened at all times.
  • Never extend their head, arms, or hands outside the bus windows.
  • Refrain from fighting, bullying, harassment, foul language, or inappropriate gestures.
  • Keep the bus clean and avoid damaging school property.

Failure to comply with these rules will result in transportation of disciplinary actions. Disciplinary Procedures In cases of serious rule violations, or when repeated minor violations occur, a School Bus Incident Report will be issued. The purpose of this process is to ensure student safety and to inform parents of misconduct.

Disciplinary actions may include:

  • First Offense: Verbal warning and parent notification.
  • Second Offense: Written warning.
  • Third Offense: Suspension of bus privileges for five school days.
  • Fourth Offense: Suspension of bus privileges for ten school days.
  • Fifth Offense: Termination of bus privileges for the remainder of the school year, with no refund of fees.

If a student is expelled from the schools bus service, they will not be permitted to use transportation for the remainder of the current academic year or the following school year. Transportation fees are non-refundable in cases of suspension or expulsion.

Dress Code

A. Overview:

A school uniform is the visual representation of a school’s values and philosophy. It should foster a sense of belonging in the students who wear it, allowing them to be proud of the institution they are representing.

Thamer International School's uniform, first designed in 2000, has gone through a number of revisions over the years as the School developed and grew. At present, we have three different uniforms across all sub-schools which perfectly suit the age group and gender.

The current uniform is both modern and fit for purpose, yet smart and worthy of our students. Collectively, we are confident that our students and our community is proud to be represented by this new uniform as we continue to develop our school in the future.

If you have any questions regarding the school uniform, you may discuss these with the relevant Head of School or the Book Store Department.
